Unfocused "Occupy Wall Street" Protesters Make List of Demands
By Ryan Young Until recently, I haven't been paying much mind to the Occupy Wall Street protests. They're a lot like Tea Party protesters. They're upset with the status quo, and are being quite vocal about it. But — also like the Tea Partiers — they ...

Are the Occupy Wall Street protesters the real Silent Majority instead of the Tea Party?
It seems that even Tea Party groups are starting to try and protest with them but somehow the Tea Party folks are just getting left off to the right of the protests while the protesters first and foremost want JUSTICE for those who created this almost depression..

Isnt it odd that the tea party is on the side of the wall street thieves who caused this meltdown...they're stuck on "hating Obama" rather than seeing whats going on in this country

yes absolutely the tea party are a bunch of wacko nuts that need to be thrown out of the government .they want to destroy our country. they dont want the criminals brought to justice. white collar crime to them is call JUST BUSINESS AS USUAL. for the banking and home loan crimes. JUST BUSINESS.
If they want JUSTICE, the protesters will have to haul Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Janet Reno, Barney Franks, and Chris Dodd into court.
For the real cause of the Wall Street problem, do some investigating on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) which was started by Jimmy Carter and greatly expanded by Bill Clinton (and enforced by Janet Reno). This act put a large number of individuals who could not afford a mortgage -or manage home ownership- into their own houses. These mortgages were backed by financial institutions as well as Freddie and Fannie. Wall Street is the end result of the housing market collapse and these mortgages -along with the securities which were based on these mortgages- defaulting at an astronomically high rate.
During 2002-2004, Barney Franks and Chris Dodd, the House and Senate Banking Chairs, decided to look the other way while the housing market was on the verge of collapse. Even after multiple warnings they continued to throw tax dollars into Freddie and Fannie. (While receiving some serious reelection campaign contributions from both). After the crisis appeared they ignored their own major role in this fiasco, blaming Wall Street greed and creating the Dodd-Franks Banking regulations which has already resulted in higher fees for consumers.
Politics as usual: Cause the problem, make it worse through impossible and expensive regulations, blame someone else, and then sit back and claim victory.
The current protesters are beyond clueless, but they do deserve our pity.
Funny how the Tea Party folks are not able to subvert this REAL grassroots movement. They will try though but it looks like this is the real thing.
