I'm a republican and a red sox fan, but I really don't know what I'd say. I try not to talk about politics too much since it's just another thing to argue about. I'd probably say Yankees suck. and that's all.

I completely agree with DJ. I'm a Republican and a Red Sox fan. I would keep politics out of the world of sports and just keep to trash talk. "Yankees Suck!" Would be a nice campaign slogan though.
I'm a democrat and a feverish Yankees fan. I'd ask a republican BoSox fan why he/she liked a-holes so much as a general pattern in life. Between George W. and his heartless policies and misuse of taxpayer money and those that support his decisions, and Manny and Schilling with their awful attitudes - that's a lot of a-hole worship. I ask if he/she had a low self-esteem and liked to be represented badly.

I wouldn't mix politics with sports & slogan "Yankees Suck" would be just another political statement that's not true. 13 consectutive winning seasons tells me, that team doesn't suck. Teams I would say suck are the Tigers 1994-2005, 12 consectutive losing seasons, 1991, last time Tigers won more games than Yankees, won more games than Tigers in the 70's, 80's, 90's & 2000's, last World Series titles Yankees 2000, Tigers 1985, last losing season for Yankees 1991. So Yankees don't suck, you may hate them all you want, but they don't suck. I respect Red Sox as a team, I may hate them but to say they suck is a lie even before they won the World Series in 2004. Sorry if I am ranting but this mainly goes to a certain Tiger fan
As a democratic (sort of) Yankee fan, I would say to a Repub Sox fan: "You're going to lose next October, and then you're really going to lose in November."
All Yankee fans should be Democrats because as most Yankee fans know, most of their titles have been won under Democratic administrations. They haven't won a title under a Republican since the days of Eisenhower.

There are Red Sox Dems of course...but none of them speak English...they all speak that Brahman accent..so even if they gave a damn about Yankee Reps..no one would ever know.
And of course Yankee Dems exist, and most of them can speak some English....but there is no such thing as a Republican in Boston...so the Yankee Dems would be talking to a wall...a true battle of wits...
