Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees include Joan Jett, Beastie Boys

peacefullyoptimistic: How long does it take to tour the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & other places in Cleveland worth checking out?
Just wondering approximately how long it would take to tour the museum. I've been to Cleveland several times for Indians and Cavs games but never to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I wasn't sure how big of a place it was. Is it an all day event or would I need to plan something else? If so, what other places are worth checking out?? I've been to Tower City and the Cleveland Zoo. I'm open for suggestions, thanks!

The Rock Hall takes a few hours to go through, depending on how long you want to take to look at each display. Or if you aren't interested in some of the displays then it may go quickly for you. Right by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the Great Lakes Science Center. It would be a fun place to visit if you are traveling with children.

About 50 minutes away from Cleveland is Sandusky, Ohio where amusement park Cedar Point is located. This amusement park has the most roller coasters in the world. If you are interested, you can get a discount ticket that admits you to both the Rock Hall and Cedar Point for $ 53.00 online.

Allow at least half a day for the Rock Hall if you really love music. Lots to read and see.

If you have children, the following are good: NASA (by the airport - free!) and Lake Erie Nature Center at 28728 Wolf Road in Bay Village. Also the Children's Museum.

Lake View Cemetery is awesome. West Side Market. Coventry for eating and eclectic shops. Cleveland Museum of Art or almost anything in University Circle. Little Italy. Ohio City. If you like to shop: Steelyard Commons, Unique Thrift, Crocker Park (so many good places).

Check out a concert - that is where Cleveland really shines - the diversity of its music. Even though it is in Boston Mills, Blossom Music Center is great to hear the orchestra, especially over the July 4th.

Area arts festivals, rib burnoffs, there is so much to see and do. Go to www.cleveland.oh.us for more.
